It has come into my knowledge that a certain left-wing underground society is targeting me and my vast wealth. The only way I know to protect myself is to do what all mega-billionaires do in this day and age: hire hot twin assassins to protect them.

Job requirements:
● Must be proficient in hand to hand combat techniques
● Must be able to handle Warsaw and NATO Pact small arms and on occasion heavier hardware, like TV guided missiles. The one with the camera on it.
● Able to identify biochemical agents. These are mostly labeled, but there are a couple of techs I employ that refuse to write anything down.
● Training programs ARE available, as there are terribly few biochemist/assassin/weapon experts in the world

Relocation:
● You must move into my secret lair upon getting hired.
● I have to move my secret lair on occasion due to attacks from the aforementioned left-wing agendaists. Must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted. I hired a moving company one time. They were secret agents. I had to trick them into driving into a volcano.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience. I will be doing background checks on applicants.
Benefits: Full health and dental. We have a flex spending account to get laser eye correction done, I can't abide people wearing glasses (exception: safety glasses) while firing pistols akimbo and diving through shattering glass. We have an accidental death and dismemberment clause also, since our insurance company doesn't know exactly WHAT we do here; however, it does NOT cover accidents based on biochemical agents that are improperly marked or handled. We also have a fierce 401K plan.

I am also looking for backup sets of twin assassins. Don't feel bad if you get second-stringed, the right-wing ultranationalists that have differing opinions on how many mulligans one is allowed in a friendly game of golf are consistently sending agents to kill me. So the first set might not make it. Just last week our catering company was infiltrated and attempted to poison me with steak tartar. Luckily, I find that dish to be vile and wanted nothing to do with it.

"Just post it on Craigslist."  It’s a phrase spoken millions of times a day by sellers looking to make a few bucks off of Craigslist.

Now some say overzealous flagging by users with personal agendas is killing the spirit of Craigslist and costing well meaning sellers a chance to earn money.

Craigslist is both big and small in many ways.  Experts estimate there are 50 million new ads posted worldwide every month.  One in five Americans use it, yet it’s run by a relatively small group of 30 in San Francisco. It would be virtually impossible for 30 people to monitor ever ad that is posted.

So, from its inception in 1996, founder Craig Newmark made it clear that the free classified ad service would be moderated and edited by its users instead of Craigslist staff through a practice called "flagging."  On every ad, there is a box of links in the upper right hand corner of the webpage that give the reader the ability to flag the ad for removal. 

Each user must agree to the terms and service of Craigslist.  Within that agreement are some specific rules that outline the kind of ads that are not appropriate or prohibited such as scalping or the selling of pets.

But users like Pete Mitchell of Everett believe users are flagging ads for reasons that go well beyond the rules listed in the terms of service and Craigslist staff is letting them get away with it.

“I love playing guitar, I love making music,” says Mitchell.  Pete Mitchell is not his real name but his Craigslist handle. He fears his personal affairs would be compromised by “flagging fanatics” if his real name was used because of the “vicious and vindictive” nature of some flaggers.

“They flag every post, it’s as simple as that,” says Mitchell, who uses Craigslist to sell his homemade guitars. “You make something, you sell it.  That’s why Craigslist is here.”

But some sellers like Mitchell are in a running battle with presumably, other users who keep flagging his ads.  Only the Craigslist staff knows how many flags it takes to remove an ad --it’s been a closely held secret and never revealed publicly.

“I’ve read all the rules, I follow the rules and I still get flagged so why have rules,” says a frustrated Mitchell.

The most important rule for any seller on Craigslist to remember is a real show-stopper: Any user can flag any ad for any reason.  If a user thinks a price is too high, or doesn’t like the description or there’s a misspelling – it doesn’t matter why -- they can flag the ad.  Even if the ad is perfect in every way, it can still be flagged and removed automatically by Craigslist computers once the unknown flagging threshold has been reached.

“If you don’t like a post, move onto the next one,” says Mitchell, who believes he might be the flagging target of a competitor.

Wendy Simonsen had her ad flagged for removal as well.  She and her husband run a web-based home business called PersonalizedFree.com.

“We have over 1,400 different Christmas ornaments that we personalize with whatever the customers want,” says Simonsen.

She needed a graphic artist background to do some simple doctoring in Photoshop of pictures of her ornaments to make them suitable for posting on her website.  Craigslist charges between $25 to $75 for job wanted ads, but since Simonsen’s job was for part-time, non-regular work, she placed her ad appropriately in the creative gigs section of Craigslist.

She pays $1 a photo and it takes about five minutes to doctor each photo.  That’s $12 an hour -- more if you worker faster -- and you can work at home, when you want.  After the ad had been posted for an hour, it got flagged and removed.

“I have no idea why it got flagged.  I’m offering work ” says Simonsen. “There’s nothing controversial about it. This is a great job for moms with kids in school. There’s no reason why it should have been flagged.”

Flaggers and not required to give seller a reason why they flagged their ad. Sellers like Pete and Wendy are often left in the dark about what they need to change to avoid future flagging.

Mitchell says he’s sent Craigslist hundreds of emails asking for an explanation on why his ads keep getting flagged. “They don’t answer emails,” says Mitchell.

The Problem Solvers sent several emails and social media postings to Craigslist public relations staff, CEO Jim Buckmaster and founder Craig Newmark (who is no longer part of the day-to-day operations of Craigslist) asking for clarification on Craigslist policies. There was no response.

So frustrated sellers are left to post their requests for advice to the Flagging Forum on Craigslist, which is manned not by Craigslist staffers, but by fellow users.

“The flagging forum can be brutal,” says The Fixxer, a regular contributor to the flagging forum.  He’s referring to the rude and demeaning behavior shown by some of the “so-called helpers” toward people angry about their ads being flagged.  The Fixxer did not want us to use his real name for the same reasons as Pete Mitchell.

“People will start messing with you cause they feel you are responsible for the flagged ad,” says The Fixxer. “They will go after people in a stalker kind of way and I don’t want to be a part of that."

The Fixxer is known as a peanut – that’s a Craigslist-ism for helper.  He’s also the creator of a website called The Peanut Blogs that helps frustrated sellers avoid flagging.

“Most people have not read the terms of use, otherwise they would know why their ads were flagged,” says The Fixxer. 

“Ad-naseum” is another Craigslist-ism for people who post too often.  The Fixxer says ad-naseum could lead to automatic flagging by Craigslist computers.  He says Community Pets followed by Rants and Raves and the Personals section are the hotbeds for vicious flagging.

“People flag for emotional reasons. They flag for prices.  It’s a known fact.  They shouldn’t but they do,” says Fixxer.

Still, he says the self-policing of Craigslist by its users is working because what’s acceptable for one community of users may not be acceptable for another. 

“It’s been set up intentionally so people can decide what ads they don’t want to see,” says The Fixxer. “If you are dissatisfied for any reason, quit using it.”

Simonsen feels Craigslist should have the final say-so about ad removal and should flag the flaggers who flag too much.  “I feel these people are working against the community by flagging ads like mine,” she said.

But what keeps Craigslist users coming back is the price.  It’s free for the majority of sellers.   So keep this in mind, you get what you paid for.

“I think it’s great, when it works,” says Simonsen.

EBay Attorney Says Craigslist Sought Criminal Probe

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--An attorney for eBay Inc. (EBAY) said Thursday that Craigslist sought the current criminal probe of the internet giant, as rancor between the companies plays out on multiple stages.

The eBay attorney, Mark Lambert, also pressed for a related civil trial with Craigslist to be put on hold.

During a hearing in federal civil court in San Francisco, Lambert said the deposition of eBay employees in the civil case could have a damaging effect on their standing in the criminal proceedings, which were revealed through a grand jury subpoena issued last week.

He asked that discovery in the civil case therefore be delayed.

Several eBay employees, including Chairman Pierre Omidyar, are named in a subpoena issued as a part of the criminal probe, which is related to alleged efforts to misappropriate confidential information from Craigslist in order to develop a competing online classifieds service at eBay.

"This criminal subpoena is a game changer," Lambert said during the hearing, while arguing that Craigslist has tried to publicize the criminal probe, after having lobbied for it. "They, to our understanding, sought it," he said of Craigslist.

Craigslist attorney Michael Clyde responded that Lambert's statements were "incredible," and argued that the criminal probe should have no impact on the civil proceedings.

Spokeswomen for Craigslist and San Jose-based eBay declined to comment.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag did not respond to a request for comment.

Thursday's hearing comes as relations between eBay, which owns a stake in Craigslist, and the closely-held, San Francisco-based classifieds site reach a new low.

EBay, which purchased a 28.4% stake in Craigslist in 2004, sued Craigslist in a Delaware court in 2008, arguing that its investment had been unfairly diluted. That case ended with eBay losing its board seat, but having its stake restored.

Craigslist countered with its own suit in California, alleging that eBay sought to steal proprietary information in order to build a service that ultimately came to be known as eBay Classifieds.

The criminal investigation, revealed by a grand jury subpoena handed down last week in San Jose, takes up similar themes to the civil litigation now underway in California.

The criminal probe has also brought renewed attention to the civil case.

Judge Richard Kramer emerged over an hour after the civil hearing had been scheduled to start on Thursday, visibly weary and talking about administrative issues related to media attention being paid to the case.

Judge Kramer told the parties that the criminal probe will not put a stop to the civil trial, though its impact should be taken into account as they begin assessing which documents can be handed over as part of discovery.

The judge scheduled an informal discovery hearing for October 18, and assured Craigslist's attorneys that they still may have a chance to depose eBay employees as part of the civil case.

"I'm not saying you're not going to get what you want, which is to get these guys in a room and have at them," he told the attorneys.

Escalating their ongoing legal feud, eBay (EBAY) lawyers on Thursday accused Craigslist of "lobbying" for a federal criminal investigation into allegations the San Jose-based online marketplace illegally used confidential information from Craigslist to develop its own rival classified advertising website.

eBay attorneys also asked a San Francisco judge to put an ongoing civil lawsuit between the two companies on hold until an unfolding criminal investigation is resolved, calling the probe a "game changer."
The latest sparring in San Francisco state court came amid revelations this week that a federal grand jury in San Jose is investigating whether eBay officials misappropriated Craigslist's company secrets after eBay bought a stake in the San Francisco online company's business in 2004.
The grand jury subpoenaed records related to the allegations last week, outlining nine "incidents" that prosecutors are exploring in the conflict between the two online powerhouses. This newspaper obtained a copy of the subpoena, which asks for documents related to "incidents where eBay employees engaged in alleged criminal activities and misconduct" related to their relationship with Craigslist.
The subpoena seeks documents connected to the actions of many executives, including eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar. The allegations mirror closely a lawsuit Craigslist filed against eBay in 2008.

Hearing that case Thursday, San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer ordered the two companies to continue cooperating on turning over documents to move the lawsuit forward, despite the criminal probe, but agreed that at least for now he would not allow Craigslist to depose eBay officials. eBay attorney Mark Lambert warned that the grand jury subpoena could put executives in a position where they may need to hire lawyers and assert rights in the case, saying "there is very little clarity on who is affected" by the investigation.
Craigslist officials have declined to comment on the subpoena, and eBay officials have called the Craigslist allegations "without merit."

I am a Cockapoo -go ahead, laugh...everyone does. Mom sometimes calls me a Penisapoo. I don't think it's very nice of her to say tho. I growl at her to let her know it's not nice. I'm still a little mad at her for taking my "you knows" away!!!

I am actually a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix and I am a little crazy, but sweet too!!! I love to play and run and meet new humans and other furry four-legged people, like me ;))

I am just over a year old; actually my birthday is on the 4th of July!!! Mom calls me her little "independence baby". My name is Stewart, but Stewart Haas is my full name. I like it. It makes me wanna puff up my chest and bark loud!!!

So, yes, Stewart because Mommy is a bit coo-coo herself (shhh, don't tell her I said that) and is head over heels for Tony Stewart. You know, the NASCAR driver. He races for Stewart-Haas Racing and Office Depot. He is #14. I know this, because she always reminds me. Yeah...she's the crazy one -woof woof!!!

So, we are looking for some walking/dog park friends. Mom would like to start out as friends, but she is looking for more too. So, you have to adore her and be nice to her, or I'll bite you!!! I prefer ankles!!!

She's really pretty and fun and takes really good care of me, so she deserves someone just as awesome as she is. I'll be watching you dude...

I'm thinking coffee and morning play at the park, or some nice evening runs would be fun to start. Well, you walk with Mommy and I run. Hopefully, you have some really cool furry kids too, that I can play with...if they can catch me...grrrrrr...

I'm a little scared of larger more aggressive dogs; especially like those Pit Bulls types. Mom loves ALL the dogs and she ALWAYS has to stop and say hi to all of them. But when we see one of those Pit Bulls, she leashes me up and holds me and we walk passed quickly. So, hopefully, if your furry kids are large, they will be nice to me and have fun playing and running.

We're a little afraid of Pits cuz our cousins were attacked last summer and almost killed by a Pit. We know, not all Pits are like this, but just to be safe, we are careful.

Mom says she wants to meet someone who is over 30 and no older than 45ish. I told her it depends on if you really like each other tho and she has to wait and see and not put an age limit on this. She says attraction is a must tho, and if not, we can all still be friends...yay!!!

I told her she would know if you like her a lot, if you try to smell her butt. She said "humans don't do that!!! That's gross" -but that's how we do it...???...

So then I said, "Maybe if he just licks your face then, is that ok???", she did something funny with her eyes and walked off. I think that would be neat tho, but I'm just a silly puppy!!!

Oh look...a bug!!! Hang on...

Ok, Mom is really tall!!! Just so you know what to expect...she is like 5'4"!!! and has really pretty long dark hair. She's very friendly when meeting new people, but is a bit shy at first. Just give her a few minutes and the real her will come out. She has a really pretty smile and eyes.

People always say she is fun and very funny. I heard them say she is "sarcastic" and sometimes a "smart ass", but I'm not sure what that means. I think she is really smart.

She studies a lot and I get bored, so I sit on her laptop just to get her attention. She laughs and then makes me take pictures. I hate pictures.

Mmm...that bug was the cream filled kind --yummy!!!

I have a functioning time machine I know it sounds unbelievable, but "I assure you it works." I need a second person to operate it with me.
I'm looking for someone who is adventurous and reliable. Preferably a female that can do heavy lifting.
I am leaving on June 30th, 2011 in the morning and plan to return July 3rd, 2011. I am going to June 1988 to handle some business.

Springfield (KMTR) – A search is on for an armed robber who used a Craigslist ad to lure in his victim, according toSpringfield police.

They say a Medford man drove to Springfield to buy a car he saw listed on the Craigslist Web site, but became a robbery victim instead.

The robbery happened at an apartment complex parking lot on Oakdale Avenue, but it started at a different apartment complex on Lindale Drive. That is where Anthony Dagostino of Medford agreed to meet the man who placed the ad to sell the car. The “seller” then asked Dagostino to drive him to the apartments on Oakdale, saying that was where the car for sale was parked.

When the two pulled into the parking lot at the Oakdale apartments, the robber showed a gun and demanded cash—the $4,000 that Dagostino intended to use to pay for the car. Police say the victim then ran from his car to a nearby apartment for help; the suspect also ran off. Police are looking for a Hispanic man in his mid-20's. He is between 5’10” and 6 feet tall, with a medium build and scruffy facial hair. The robber was armed with a handgun and was wearing a white zip-up sweatshirt.

Anyone who has information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to call Springfield Police.
